While cowriting with legendary country music icon Buzz Cason, Luke and Buzz have slated two very special acoustic songwriters performances in Charleston SC and Myrtle Beach SC!
In the 1950s Cason formed Nashville's first rock and roll band and in the 60s he performed as a backup singer for none other than Elvis Presley himself while his song 'Everlasting Love' soared to #1 in England and #6 in the United States. Around the same time a shaggy-headed English group called The Beatles covered his song 'Soldier of Love' during their BBC sessions. As the 1970s rolled around he was singing backing vocals for Kenny Rogers while cowriting platinum albums and discovering a songwriter by the name of Jimmy Buffet.
Since then he's written songs for, produced and engineered some of the biggest acts in country music history. Yet his influence knows not boundaries nor time. Nearly forty years after they were written, two of his songs were recorded by such iconic acts as U2 (for their greatest hits record), Pear Jam and renowned singer/songwriter Marshall Crenshaw.
With seven million radio plays to his credit and a reputation as one of the most renown songwriters of our time, Buzz Cason's songs and stories read like a who's who of pop culture and music. Don't miss out one one of these two rare shows/opportunities to see and hear a piece of music history right in front of you.
