ASCAP Selects Luke Cunningham for ‘Garth Brooks Songwriters Workshop’ in Nashville TN June 22-June 25th
Later this month, Luke has been invited by one of the world’s leading performance rights organizations–ASCAP (American Society of Composers and Publishers)–to be one of twelve nationally-selected songwriters taking place in the prestigious Garth Brooks Songwriters Workshop at ASCAP’s Nashville TN offices. The exclusive workshop is part of an ongoing series designed to focus on the development and education of promising new country music songwriters.
Conducted by longtime ASCAP member and veteran Nashville songwriter Tony Arata (who wrote The Dance with Garth Brooks as well as other well-known hits for artists like Emmylou Harris, Patty Loveless and others) the sessions will consist of cowriting opportunities, meetings and advice from top-tier industry professionals and one-on-one songwriting feedback from some of the most knowledgable names in the world of country music. Furthermore, the workshop will zero in on the art and craft of successful songwriting techniques, as well as information on important business-related topics including A&R and music publishing.
While in Nashville, Luke will also be performing as part of a songwriter’s in the round evening at the Whiskey Rhythm Saloon on Division Street Tuesday June 23rd at 7:30PM
