When Luke Cunningham and bandmates set out making his solo/debut album Heart Pressure two years ago, few fans were likely aware that the songwriter’s very future and music career hung in the balance of the album’s outcome. The intensely long months of recording and compiling the album faced setback upon setback before eventually reaching completion a whole 12 months after Cunningham and producer Micah Nichols had initially began. Thankfully for Cunningham, the record was a success–receiving glowing praise from both music lovers and critics alike. And thankfully for fans of Heart Pressure and the band, there just happened to be cameras rolling for much of the process.
Gleaned from over 40 hours worth of personal footage from Cunningham, bandmates, fans, recorded live performances and three separate independent film makers, Between A Rock & A Heartache is a short/self-released mini-documentary that chronicles the events surrounding Heart Pressure’s recording, the creative process involved and a brief synopsis and background of the individuals and talents who played key roles in its creation.
The mini-documentary–released online December 18th–is available for viewing via the ‘Media/Videos’ section of www.lukecunninghammusic.com and is also available at www.youtube.com/lukecunningham1
